Overview
This policy explains what cookies and similar technologies Recurflux uses on recurflux.com and in the Recurflux application, why we use them, and how you can control them.
Recurflux is operated by Yash Amin, trading as Recurflux. For any cookie-related question, contact us at [email protected].
What are cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. They let a site remember information across pages and visits — for example, that you are signed in. Cookies can be set by the site you are visiting (“first-party cookies”) or by third-party services embedded on that site (“third-party cookies”).
Similar technologies such as local storage and session storage work the same way but store data in your browser rather than in a cookie file. The rules below apply equally to these technologies.
Cookies we use
These cookies are required for Recurflux to work. Without them you cannot sign in, stay signed in, or use the application. They do not require your consent under the EU ePrivacy Directive or UK PECR because they are essential to the service you have requested.
Recurflux uses Plausible Analytics for marketing site traffic measurement. Plausible is a cookieless analytics tool: it does not place any cookies on your device, does not collect personal data, and does not track individuals across sites or sessions. No cookie consent is required for Plausible under GDPR or the ePrivacy Directive.
We use Mixpanel for event tracking and session recording across the marketing site and application. Mixpanel places first-party cookies on your device to maintain an anonymous user identifier, measure feature usage, and record sessions for product improvement. Session recordings are used solely to understand how the product is used and are not shared with third parties. Data is transferred to and processed in the United States by Mixpanel, Inc.
For details on how Mixpanel handles data, see Mixpanel’s Privacy Policy.
Recurflux does not set advertising cookies, retargeting cookies, or share any data collected on recurflux.com with ad networks or use it for targeted advertising.
Third-party cookies
Two third-party services set cookies on recurflux.com and in the Recurflux application: Clerk (authentication — strictly necessary) and Mixpanel (product analytics and session recording — analytics). Both are described in detail in the sections above.
If you follow external links from recurflux.com to third-party websites (for example, Stripe, Paddle, Razorpay, RevenueCat, or Plausible), those sites operate under their own cookie policies. We are not responsible for cookies set by third-party domains.
Consent and legal basis
Under the EU ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC as amended) and the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), cookies that are strictly necessary to provide a service you have requested do not require prior consent.
Strictly necessary cookies (authentication) do not require consent because they are essential to the service you requested. Mixpanel analytics and session recording cookies are set on the basis of legitimate interests for product improvement. If you wish to opt out of Mixpanel tracking, you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings (see below) or contact us at [email protected].
Your controls
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. The links below go to the official guidance for the most common browsers:
Blocking or deleting the strictly necessary cookies listed above will prevent you from signing in to Recurflux. All other cookies can be blocked without affecting the marketing site or analytics.
You can also sign out of Recurflux at any time from within the app. Signing out clears your session cookies immediately.
GDPR — EU and UK
The session cookies set by Clerk constitute processing of personal data under the EU GDPR and UK GDPR. The lawful basis is contract performance (Article 6(1)(b) EU GDPR / UK GDPR) — the session is required to deliver the service you have subscribed to.
You have the right to request access to, correction of, or erasure of personal data processed in connection with cookies. Contact us at [email protected]. For more detail on your GDPR rights, see our Privacy Policy.
Updates
If we change the cookies we use in a material way — for example, adding a new category of cookie — we will update this page and, where required by law, seek your consent. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update.
